About

Hi, I’m Pierce Rasmussen, a photographer based near the breathtaking landscapes of Zion National Park. My work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the shifting light, layered textures, and raw beauty of the southwestern desert.

What draws me to this place isn't just the grandeur—it’s the subtle details, the fleeting shadows, the moments that most people miss. I’m always chasing the light. Whether it's the first golden touch at dawn or the last glow across sandstone cliffs.

As a rock climber, I often find myself in places few people go. One afternoon, a friend and I set out to climb a seldom-traveled 600-foot route. We topped out under the glow of the moon, with nothing but soft silver light illuminating the cliffs around us. From that height, in that stillness, the desert felt endless and alive. That moment, suspended between the earth and sky, reminded me why I do this. It deepened my drive to seek out remote, beautiful places and share them through my photography.

My work is a way to slow down, to pay attention, and to connect more deeply with the land. Whether you're here for inspiration or prints, welcome. I am glad you found your way here.
